Walkshops: clarity on the coast path

By Robert Woolf

On foot. Along the coast. With space to breathe. Welcome to my “walkshops” – a gentle, grounded way to untangle thoughts and find clarity.

I live on the north coast of Cornwall (near St Agnes) and I’m happy to walk with founders, entrepreneurs or leaders who are processing change, craving direction or simply feeling a bit stuck with a particular challenge.

There’s no rigid plan on these walks. Just two people walking along the coastal path, with time and space to think, exploring a challenge of your choosing.

I’m not a certified coach but I’m an excellent listener, observer and strategic thinker; and my full focus will be on you: your objectives, your challenges, your next chapter.

There’s something about walking – as in, really walking – that helps people speak from somewhere more truthful. Words come more easily. Insights surface and conversations unfold differently. Trust me, that magnifies tenfold on the coast path.

Without the pressure of a ticking clock or the next meeting to attend, I feel I could help you navigate your challenge by being an objective person asking a few questions and offering a few insights. I’m a quick learner and also pretty good at getting to the heart of matters very quickly.

But these aren’t “sessions”, they’re walks with purpose – a space where you can think more clearly, with me as your gentle guiding hand.

How it works

  • We meet at Wheal Coates NT car park or Chapel Porth beach.
  • We walk.
  • Talk.
  • I steer the conversation and offer some insights / reflections.
  • After the walk, you head back or we clarify next steps in a nearby cafe.

Investment

For now, I’m offering this service for free, volunteering my time simply because I enjoy helping others. So there’s no pressure to part with any money (other than buying me a cup of tea perhaps!).

Who are these walks for? *

  • Founders…
  • Entrepreneurs / social entrepreneurs…
  • Leaders…
  • …who’d value sharing thoughts and ideas with a creative / strategic / systems thinker.
  • …who’d enjoy something a little different whilst on holiday in Cornwall.
  • …who enjoy walking.

Interested?

You don’t need a “goal” and you don’t need to be burnt out. You just need something you’d like to explore – and a willingness to walk, talk and see what shows up.

Get in touch and let’s walk it out.

* If you don’t fit the above description, please don’t be offended if I turn your walk request down. In a nutshell, I feel I can offer more to people who have these characteristics. To that end, I’ll want to learn a bit more about you before I accept a walk!

If you’re on holiday or planning one, just let me know a few good times or dates, and I’ll do my best to fit around you. If the weather’s bad and we have to cancel, no worries!

Obviously, walking on uneven paths, in changeable weather or in poor health comes with risks. Before we agree to walk, I’ll send you some terms that asks you to acknowledge and accept these risks. Please be super mindful that, as I am volunteering my time, our walk is not covered by insurance and I don’t have any formal health and safety training.
